Type III Fastening System

Introduction

Spring bar type Ⅱsplit fastener is a railway fastener with excellent performance. It is mainly composed of components such as TypeⅡ elastic clips, steel sleepers, T - shaped bolts, nuts, spring washers, gauge blocks, rubber pads, anchor bolts, and insulating sleeves.

The Type III Elastic Clip Fastening System is engineered for shoulderless track applications, providing secure rail retention and stable track performance.
A complete set typically includes: Type III elastic clip, insulating gauge block, rubber pad, and Type III tie plate.

Application

This fastening system is designed for standard gauge railways and is suitable for both straight track and curved track with a minimum radius of 350m. It is specifically applied for 60kg/m rail sections installed on shoulderless Type III prestressed concrete sleepers.

Mechanical Requirements

The Type III fastening system is designed to meet the following mechanical performance requirements:

Single elastic range: 13 mm

Clip toe load (buckle pressure): ≥ 11 kN

Rail lateral adjustment (left/right, per rail): -4 to +2 mm

Gauge adjustment range: -8 to +4 mm

Pull-out resistance of embedded iron seat: not less than 60 kN
