Ⅳspring bar fastener is a fastening system for railway tracks, consisting of a spring bar, a embedded iron seat, an insulated gauge block and a rubber backing plate.
Component Composition and Description
The Type IV Clip Fastening System (hereinafter referred to as the fastening system) consists of a clip, embedded iron base, insulated gauge block, and rubber pad.

Assembly of the fastening system is shown in Figure 1.

1.1 Clip
Clips are available in three types: C4, JA, and JB. C4 clips are generally installed on standard sections, while JA and JB clips are used at rail joints. The diameter of C4 clips is 20 mm, while JA and JB clips have a diameter of 18 mm. JA type clips feature gray anti-rust coating and are paired with No. 7, No. 8, and No. 9 joint insulation gauge blocks. JB type clips feature black anti-rust coating and are paired with No. 10, No. 11, No. 12, and No. 13 joint insulation gauge blocks.

1.2 Insulated Gauge Blocks
Insulated gauge blocks (hereinafter referred to as gauge blocks) are divided into two types: gauge block G4 for general track sections and gauge block G4J for rail joints. Each type has seven specifications: No. 7, No. 8, No. 9, No. 10, No. 11, No. 12, and No. 13. For standard gauge, No. 9 and No. 11 are used.
