European Giant Secures Consecutive Rolling Stock Maintenance Contracts

Skoda Group, a European enterprise, has recently secured a series of rolling stock maintenance contracts with a total value of 47.4 million euros. The three core collaborations cover tram maintenance needs in different cities.

The largest contract, awarded by Bratislava's transport company, is worth 30.4 million euros. It will provide a 48-month overhaul service for local trams, involving in-depth maintenance of vehicle bodies, traction equipment and bogies, and will serve up to 60 trams.

Prague Public Transport Company has signed a 11.8 million euro contract, with a service period from 2025 to 2029. It will conduct regular high-level inspections on up to 54 trams, covering the maintenance of electrical components on the roof, vehicle electrical parts and mechanical repairs.

In addition, Skoda Group has also collaborated with transport companies in Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou. The 1.29 million euro contract involves comprehensive overhauls of 3 tram bodies and maintenance of 2 tram bodies. After completion, the service life of the vehicles will be extended by 10 years, and the project is expected to be finished by the 20th week of 2027.
