From October 4 to 9, 2025, Busworld Europe will be held in Brussels. On this occasion, the HÜBNER Group will showcase new products and solutions in the field of buses and commercial vehicles, focusing on high-performance vehicle operation and sustainable management. Among them, the innovative achievement of the articulation system – the technologies related to the "1.60m bus" – stands out as one of the core highlights of this exhibition.
As a long-term provider of passenger area connection solutions for articulated buses to bus manufacturers, HÜBNER will fully demonstrate multiple breakthroughs of the complete "1.60m bus" system at Booth 755 in Hall 7:
-
Lightweight Articulation Unit HNGK 28.2: This newly developed bus articulation unit is 42% lighter than previous standard models. While maintaining reliable performance and easy maintenance advantages, it also increases the ground clearance of buses, further adapting to complex road conditions.
-
New Folding Bellows Material EcoFlex: This material sets a new industry standard in fire resistance, sustainability, and thermal insulation. When used with the new inner bellows, its excellent thermal and sound insulation performance can simultaneously optimize in-vehicle noise levels and vehicle energy consumption, balancing passenger comfort and environmental benefits.
-
Customized Design and Lighting Integration: HÜBNER offers translucent bellows fabrics in a variety of colors, which can be integrated with lighting elements – not only enhancing passenger comfort and creating a pleasant in-vehicle atmosphere, but also endowing articulated buses with a novel appearance. These lighting solutions can be directly installed in the folding bellows and support flexible configuration according to customer needs; whether integrated into the intermediate frame or directly embedded in the folding bellows, they can be easily retrofitted to existing systems, with convenient later maintenance.

In addition, another major highlight of HÜBNER at this exhibition is the public transport holographic application jointly developed with Zeiss Micro-Optics. Konrad Brimo, Vice President of Global Sales Material Solutions at the HÜBNER Group, said: "We look forward to enabling the bus industry to intuitively experience the shape of future public transport through holographic technology." This series of innovations includes transparent holographic displays and holographic buttons: the former can project information such as arrival times and departure times onto the doors and windows of buses, making the information directly visible to passengers; the latter can realize non-contact opening of bus and train doors with the help of holographic technology, improving operational convenience and hygiene safety.
