Today's launch marks a milestone in the framework agreement signed by Alstom and Norske tog at the end of 2021. As part of Norway's largest-ever train procurement agreement, Norske tog has ordered 45 Coradia trains for commuter and regional operations, forming part of a broader framework to purchase a total of 200 new trains. These trains will replace outdated models in eastern Norway.
Accessibility and Interior Layout
Designed in compliance with technical specifications, the trains feature fully step-free access throughout and designated spaces for wheelchair passengers. Accessible toilets are available, and large flexible areas along the train accommodate passengers with bicycles, strollers, or oversized luggage. The interior layout and equipment are adapted to Scandinavian accessibility and operational requirements, incorporating wireless connectivity and enhanced passenger comfort features to optimize the onboard experience.
