Czech locomotive manufacturer CZ LOKO has received its first domestic military order for a diesel locomotive – it will deliver one EffiShunter 1000 locomotive to the Air Force military base in Caslav. The locomotive is scheduled to be delivered within 120 days after the contract is signed, and will mainly be used for shunting operations of tank cars transporting aviation fuel within the base, ensuring the efficient operation of military logistics transportation.
The core advantages of the EffiShunter series locomotives are remarkable. Firstly, it is equipped with an engine that meets Euro V emission standards (Stage V), featuring lower diesel consumption. This characteristic not only aligns with environmental protection requirements, but also serves as a rigid indicator in emergency locomotive procurement tenders by railway administrations in many European countries. Secondly, it is equipped with two on-board systems simultaneously: the Automatic Train Control (ATC) system and the European Train Control System (ETCS), which can adapt to operational needs in different scenarios and enhance safety and stability during shunting operations.
