Anyone advocating a shift to rail transport knows this: rail freight is a far more efficient alternative to road transport. A single Vectron locomotive (with freight cars) can replace up to 52 trucks on long-haul routes. To demonstrate that freight trains can do the same job as semi-trailer trucks (and arguably do it better/more efficiently), ELL has given a Vectron locomotive (designated RTB Cargo 193 429) a creative livery makeover.
On the side of the locomotive, a clear slogan conveys the aforementioned message: "I replace up to 52 semi-trailers". Using visual design techniques and leveraging the Vectron's original shape, the ends of the locomotive's cab have been transformed to resemble the appearance of RTB Cargo-branded trucks. Subtle details further enhance this visual illusion, including a "license plate" printed with the locomotive's number, an exclusive "Vectruck" badge, and even a small pine tree-shaped air freshener decoration—making the overall design both propaganda-driven and playful.
