A Landmark Tender of Immense Scale

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority has officially launched a major system package tender for Metro Line 12, with an estimated project cost of ₹488.2 billion, marking the line's most comprehensive and critical procurement package. This open tender encompasses the entire supply chain, including rolling stock, signaling, electromechanical systems, and post-commissioning maintenance, aiming to provide an integrated solution for the line's successful construction and efficient operation.

Complete Contract Scope with Multi-Year Maintenance

The tender's scope is exceptionally comprehensive, covering the design, manufacture, and supply of metro trains, CBTC signaling systems, communication networks, traction power supply systems, depot equipment, elevators & escalators, and the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of all electromechanical systems. For after-sales support, the project includes a two-year defect liability period, followed by a mandatory five-year comprehensive operation and maintenance service​ to ensure long-term system reliability and significantly reduce the owner's future operational burdens.

Clear Key Tender Milestones

As per the official notice, the document cost is ₹10,000 (plus 18% GST), with a bid security amount of ₹2.44 billion. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 5, 2026, and all bid submissions must be completed by 15:00 hours on June 25, 2026, outlining a clear and fast-paced procedural timeline.
