The first five-car Ermak metro train for Novosibirsk, produced at the TMH plant in Mytishchi, has been successfully delivered, with four additional trains scheduled for completion by the end of 2025. This model is manufactured on the same production line as the Baltiets trains for St. Petersburg, and key components such as traction motors and drives, braking systems, air compressors, doors, yaw dampers, and gear reducers are all produced locally in Russia.
The train is equipped with air conditioning, ventilation, and air purification systems, as well as accessible seating areas, and the doors offer 49% visibility, ensuring both safety and comfort. The acceptance process for the first train has started in Novosibirsk, following the signing of the contract in 2024. Novosibirsk Metro has directly ordered two sets of trains from TMH, with three additional trains procured through a financial lease arrangement with Sberbank Leasing. Governor Andrey Travnikov has announced plans to replace all currently operating metro trains by 2030.
